Blended Learning

Upon considering the severity of the COVID situation, I have decided for the lessons to incorporate a blended approach. The lessons shall alternate between online and physical classes. 


As such, lessons 1 and 3 will be designed to be conducted online, while lesson 2 is to be conducted face-to-face in the physical classroom.

Target Audience: Primary Three (Mixed Ability)

IN THE PAST, HARDLY ANYONE COULD HAVE FORESEEN THE IDEA AND INFLUENCE OF MULTILITERACIES ON OUR PROFESSIONAL AND PERSONAL LIVES. SHORTLY AFTER THE WORD “MULTILITERACIES” WAS NEWLY FORMULATED DURING THE NEW LONDON MEETING, ITS SEARCH ON GOOGLE IN 2009 GARNERED MORE THAN 60,000 WEB PAGES. THE CHANGING WORLD AND COMMUNICATIONS ENVIRONMENT SEEM TO IMPLY THAT CORRESPONDING CHANGES TO LITERACY TEACHING AND LEARNING HAVE TO TAKE EFFECT (COPE & KALANTZIS, 2009).

THE EMERGENCE OF THESE NEW LITERACIES IS A DIRECT CONSEQUENCE OF NEW COMMUNICATION PRACTICES. TEACHERS HAVE A NEWFOUND OBLIGATION TO EMBODY THESE LITERACIES IN NEW SOCIAL PRACTICES. THIS INFLUENCES HOW STUDENTS PARTICIPATE AND THRIVE AS CITIZENS IN PUBLIC SPACES, WHILE FOSTERING NEW FORMS OF IDENTITY AND PERSONALITY (COPE & KALANTZIS, 2009).
